For the Birds

I am surprised these berries are still hanging on in the midst of winter. You would think the local bird gang would have munched them all away by now. Instead, they cling to the tendrils branching off the tree, dangling in the cool, gentle breezes -- freezing cold! Just like everything and everyone else out in the winter! But soon, very soon, the birds will start migrating back this way, and the berries will soon be a meal made in heaven for tired, feathered friends.
