A month flown by since my last month ... and let's say it really did fly by. In there, lots of scrapbooking done. Work, of course. Lots of genealogy, having discovered another line of Wyatt folk on the east-coast of Canada that are related. One very bad, bad cold, which saw me 'not' celebrating Easter. And the passing of someone who made a difference in my daughter's life ... well, mine too, for that matter. When Samantha was little, she wanted to Highland Dance and we found her teacher lived just down the road from our home. A teacher, Lynn Stephens, dedicated to the Scottish culture and particularly, dance, she taught Samantha for many years. But not only dance ... also respect, determination, confidence, self-esteem; all at the same time as still letting her be a girl growing up. She will be missed by many in her family, her friends, and her dancing community. Winter disappeared during this time as well, with exceptionally warm summer-like days in March! The Canada geese and so many other birds were suddenly all here singing their song ... I especially love listening to the birds in the morning when I am standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus to take me to work. Friday, the melody, however, was dominated by one very noisy blue jay. And although blue jays have to be one of my favourite birds, I thought it quite vain to dominate the sounds waves! My daffodils bloomed this year "at Easter", and I see that all my other plants are well on their way to sprouting forward into May already.
